What do we think we are singing during Passiontide?

A morning to explore the theology and significance of the hymns and songs we sing.

How do we choose what to sing and what not to sing? Should we sing it just because it is an old familiar favourite? It will be led by Rev’d Dr Jonathan Hustler M.A.,Vice principal of Wesley House Cambridge, on Saturday April 14^th at Healing Methodist Church Starting at 9.30am coffee, sessions are from 10a.m to 12.30pm, £2.50 payable on the day. Lent Bible readings with a Side Dish of Soup

You are invited to join us during Lent on: Mon 27th Feb; Tues 6th March; Weds 14th March; Thursday 22nd March; Friday 30th March, at 11.15am for a chance to mull over a Bible passage, pray and then share a simple lunch of soup and bread in The Edge. If you want to come just for the soup (but why miss out on the rest?) then you need to be in the edge by 11.50am. Also stay on the lookout for further details on the Lent Course. Peace Dan

Church Family Faith Lunch

On Sunday 22nd January we will have a Faith Lunch, as it’s been a little while since we have all eaten together. It’s our Covenant Service that morning and so this seems a good opportunity to start our church year in fellowship of this kind. Coffee will be served as usual after the service (thank you to those who have already agreed to go back on this rota – more are welcome) and then lunch will follow at approx 12 noon, followed by a presentation and discussion of the Questionnaire results.

In order that we do not end up with one quiche and fourteen chocolate cakes there will be a savoury/sweet list passed around this Sunday and then on the desk in the office over the next.
